How Game-Specific Matching Works

Generic matchmaking treats every game the same. GamerPlug doesn’t. When you set up your profile, you define your stats and roles for each title you play — and matching runs against those game-specific signals, not a one-size-fits-all rank score. Every supported game has its own stat profile. For Apex Legends, that means K/D ratio, ranked tier, and preferred legends. For Valorant, it’s Average Combat Score (ACS), rank, and agent role. For League of Legends, it’s your ranked tier, primary lane, and champion pool style. For Rocket League, it’s your rank and whether you play striker, goalkeeper, or utility. Role definitions are similarly per-game. A “support” in Overwatch 2 and a “support” in Apex Legends are different jobs, and GamerPlug’s matching knows the difference. When the algorithm builds a suggested squad, it checks that roles complement each other — so you don’t end up with five duelists and no controller. Rank proximity is calibrated per title too. The spread between a Silver and a Plat player means something different in Valorant’s ranked ladder than it does in Rocket League’s. GamerPlug sets those thresholds per game so suggestions stay competitive without being unreachable. The result: when you queue as an Apex support main in Platinum, GamerPlug finds you a fragger and an IGL at a compatible rank — not just anyone who also plays Apex.
