How Discovery Works
Open the app and you get a deck of players to swipe through. The deck is built from players who:- Play at least one of the games you selected
- Have uploaded gameplay clips
- Have completed onboarding
- Fall inside your age filter
- You haven’t already swiped on
Discovery is filter-based, not score-based. GamerPlug narrows the deck to players who fit your criteria and shows you their clips — it doesn’t rank them behind the scenes or decide who “complements” your playstyle. You make that call from the footage.
Filters You Control
- Games
- Verified only
- Age range
Pick which of your games the deck draws from. Selecting fewer games gives you a tighter, more relevant deck; selecting more widens the pool.
What’s on a Profile
Once you’re looking at someone, the profile carries the context you need:
Stats synced from a game API are pulled from the source, so they’re not something a player can inflate. Everything else is self-reported.
Getting Better Matches
Upload real clips. Profiles without clips never enter anyone’s deck. More than one clip gives people a fuller read on how you play. Add your in-game name for synced titles. Apex, Fortnite, and League pull verified stats onto your profile automatically — a stronger signal than a rank you typed in. Select every game you actually play. Each one puts you in another deck. Fill in your playstyle and preferences. These don’t drive the deck, but they’re what someone reads before deciding to send a request. After You Match
When you both swipe right, you get a direct thread to sort out when you’re playing. From there, post a squad or register for a tournament together.Find Teammates with Squads
Post the mode, rank range, and vibe you want, and let players who fit request to join.
