Squads are GamerPlug’s built-in LFG. Instead of spamming a Discord and hoping someone bites, you post exactly what you’re looking for — mode, rank range, platform, mic, and the vibe you want — and players who actually fit request to join. Eligibility is checked server-side, so the people who reach you already meet your criteria.
Squads currently run on Apex Legends, where rank matching reads your synced Apex profile. Every other title uses matchmaking and squad chat.

Post a Squad

1

Open Squads and tap Post a squad

You can have one active post at a time. Editing an existing post reopens the same form.
2

Pick your mode

Choose Ranked, Pubs, or Mixtape.
3

Set how many players you need

Choose 1 or 2. You’re the host, so a post for 2 fills out a full trio.
4

Set when you're playing

Say when you want to run. Posts expire on their own, so the feed stays current instead of filling with stale listings.
5

Set your rank range and platform

The rank range is prefilled from your synced Apex rank, and platform from your profile — adjust either if you want a wider net. Leave all platform chips off for crossplay.
6

Add mic, want tags, and a note

Flag whether a mic is required, add up to 3 want tags, and write a short note (up to 140 characters).

Want Tags

Tags tell people how you play before they request: Stick together · Chill comms · Aggressive · Competitive · Funny / joking · 18+ · Same legends every game · Streaming

Handling Requests

Players who meet your criteria can request to join. As host you see each applicant with their rank and profile, and you accept or pass. Requests are checked in the database, not just the UI — a player outside your rank range or on the wrong platform can’t slip through by hitting the API directly.
Editing a post after you’ve accepted someone drops the players you already accepted. GamerPlug warns you before you confirm.
Once your squad fills, everyone lands in a shared squad chat to sort legends and drop spots before you queue.

Squad Size

A squad is you plus up to 2 others — a full Apex trio. The composer offers 1 or 2 open slots, and the host counts toward the total.

Tips

An empty platform selection means crossplay and matches the widest pool. Selecting all three is not the same thing — it narrows to players whose synced profile reports one of them.
The range is prefilled from your own rank, which can be narrow. Opening it a tier in each direction usually fills a post much faster.
“Chill ranked grind, no mic rage” gets better requests than an empty note. You have 140 characters — use them to set expectations.
