# Manage Your GamerPlug Profile and Account Settings
> Update your GamerPlug display name, gameplay clips, game list, and platforms. Keep your profile fresh for better matches.
Your GamerPlug profile is what other players see when you come up in their deck — the more complete it is, the easier it is for someone to tell you're a fit. You can update any field at any time without losing your match history or squad connections.
## Create Your Account
Getting started on GamerPlug takes only a few minutes. Download the app from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gamerplug/id6752116866), [Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ionpetro.gamerplug), or sign up at [gamerplug.app](https://gamerplug.app).
1. Open the app or visit the website and tap **Sign Up**.
2. Enter your **email address** and choose a **password**.
3. Set your **Display Name** and **Gamer Tag**.
4. Select the **games** you play and the **platforms** you play on.
5. Upload a **gameplay clip** so the matching algorithm can assess your actual playstyle.
6. Select the platforms you play on — PC, PS5, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch — and add your in-game name for any title that syncs stats automatically. See [Platform Connections](/account/platform-connections).
7. Set your **playstyle and preferences** so other players know how you like to play before they send a request.
8. Tap **Finish Setup** to complete your profile and enter the matching pool.
GamerPlug is for players **17 and older**. You must be at least 17 years of age to create an account.
## Edit Your Display Name and Gamer Tag
1. Open the app and tap your avatar to go to your profile.
2. Tap **Edit Profile**.
3. Update your **Display Name** and/or **Gamer Tag** fields.
4. Tap **Save** to apply the changes.
Your new display name appears immediately across the platform, including in active squad chats and tournament rosters.
## Replace or Add Gameplay Clips
Gameplay clips are the core of clip-based matchmaking — they show how you actually play, not just your reported rank.
1. Go to **Edit Profile** > **Clips**.
2. Tap **Upload Clip** to add a new video from your device or gaming platform.
3. To replace an existing clip, tap the clip thumbnail, then tap **Replace**.
4. To remove a clip, tap the thumbnail and select **Delete**.
Changing your linked gaming account stats may take up to 24 hours to reflect
in matching.
## Update Your Game List
Keep your game list current so the algorithm only matches you with players in titles you actually play.
1. Go to **Settings** > **Games**.
2. Tap **Add Game** and search for a title to add it to your list.
3. To remove a game, tap the game card and select **Remove**.
Changes take effect immediately. Removing a game will exclude you from that game's matching pool going forward.
## Update Your Platform List
1. Go to **Settings** > **Platforms**.
2. Toggle on the platforms you play on — **PC**, **PS5**, **Xbox**, or **Nintendo Switch**.
3. Toggle off any platforms you no longer use.

## Update Your Preferences
1. Go to **Edit Profile**.
2. Set your playstyle, team play, mic usage, conversation style, and gaming schedule.
3. Tap **Save**.
These appear on your profile so other players know what they're getting before they send a request.
## Change Your Password
1. Go to **Settings** > **Account** > **Change Password**.
2. Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.
3. Tap **Update Password**.
You will receive a confirmation email to your registered address. If you do not receive it within a few minutes, check your spam folder or contact [Support@gamerplug.app](mailto:Support@gamerplug.app).
## Notification Preferences
Control which alerts GamerPlug sends you so you never miss what matters — and aren't bothered by what doesn't.
1. Go to **Settings** > **Notifications**.
2. Toggle individual notification types on or off:
| Notification Type | Description |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Matches | Alerts when you match with another player |
| Messages | New direct messages and squad chat messages |
| Squad activity | Requests to join your squad, and when you're accepted into one |
| Tournament invites | Invitations to events, with a link straight into the tournament |
## Affiliate Program
If you create gaming content or have an audience in the gaming community, you can apply to become a GamerPlug affiliate. Affiliates promote GamerPlug and help grow the platform's player base.
To apply, visit [gamerplug.app/en/affiliates](https://gamerplug.app/en/affiliates) and fill out the application form. For questions about the program, contact [Support@gamerplug.app](mailto:Support@gamerplug.app).
## Delete Your Account
If you want to leave GamerPlug, you can request full account deletion from within the app.
1. Go to **Settings** > **Account** > **Delete Account**.
2. Read the confirmation screen, then tap **Delete My Account**.
3. Confirm your identity by entering your password.
4. Tap **Confirm Deletion**.
Deleting your account immediately removes your profile from matching, discovery, and search. No one can find you on the platform afterward.
